Before that, in addition to basement finishing we also renovated apartments, built 9 custom homes and remodeled numerous homes. Our primary service area has always been the Wasatch Front and surrounding communities.

The typical basement takes 10 to 12 weeks to finish. If you include additional features like a kitchen or theater room this will add a few weeks to completion time.

We start basements once the city issues a building permit. This process typically takes 3-4 weeks.

A typical 3 cabinet kitchenette with 2 floating shelves, all plumbing, electrical and standard grade granite countertops is $3,500 to $5,000.

The “contractor” in this story is not licensed they are an unlicensed amateur. If a licensed professional were to pull this stunt you could find them in 5 minutes. The state would revoke their license and you’d be covered by the bond all licensed general contractors are required to have. This will not happen if you use a licensed professional.
